In addition to the incidence of family separation and the access to reunification mechanisms, the reasons for family separation should also be collected as this may also serve as a coping strategy. Indicators on family separation also need to be linked to those on restoration of housing, land and property (HLP) (see Module C:4) and access to livelihoods (see Module C:3), as a number of individuals may find themselves without access to HLP or pensions due to a missing family member.
