This indicator recalls IDPs’ right to make an informed and voluntary choice of a durable solution, a principle that is central to the IASC Framework. This indicator can be used both to understand to what extent IDPs can access sources of adequate information on the different settlement options as well as to inform the ways of communicating with the communities and primary information providers. Adequate disaggregation is necessary in order to assess whether the relevant information reaches all parts of the IDP population, including women, persons with special needs and persons that are potentially marginalized.
